How do you keep up to date with everything that is going on? Do look at lots of different websites, news sites, blogs, podcasts etc but don't have time to check them all one by one to see what has been updated?
RSS is for you. RSS (really simple syndication) is a way of setting up 1 space/place where you organise the content you want to come to you as it is updated.
A great way to develop your professional development, get news headlines, track student blogs etc.
RSS is a fantastic tool for both students and teachers to use. In this session you will set up your own RSS page to start getting the information you want to come to you.
Add new Gagdets by clicking on ADD STUFF
Add a new TAB by clicking on - ADD A TAB
If you want to add an RSS feed from a site (i.e. the ABC), find the feed (a web address) at the ABC - go back to iGoogle, click on ADD STUFF, down on the left choose ADD FEED OR GADGET and paste in the web address. HINT: it puts in the http:// - get rid of this before you paste.
